LETTER OF INQUIRY

 

A letter of inquiry must precede a formal grant proposal in order to determine if an organization’s proposal fits within the Foundation’s eligibility guidelines.  The letter of inquiry must include the following:

 

· Complete name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address of contact for this

   grant request

· IRS Letter of Determination

· Mission statement

· History of the organization (limited to two pages)

· Amount of request

· Project description

· Goals and objectives for the project

· Expected results for the project

· Additional potential sources of funding

 

The Foundation will respond by mail to all letters of inquiry within two weeks of receipt to determine whether your request falls within Foundation program guidelines.  Those that do not are denied.

The Foundation only considers grant proposals from applicants whose letter of inquiry has been approved.  If you are asked to submit a proposal, you will be sent a current application form with your letter of notification.  

 

Our grant application deadline will be March 5, 2010 and Trustees will review grant applications March 26, 2010  You will receive a letter announcing awards after the meeting.
